St. Patrick’s Day in Dallas is a quiet celebration of our Irish heritage and Catholic faith. Just a couple friends wearing matching outfits and standing in the street. No reason you wouldn’t remember last year, but just in case you have it looked sort of like this.

To these proceedings the Dallas Observer will bring a concert, as we have for the last several years. Again, no reason related to the mass consumption of beer that you’ll have forgotten this, but in 2013 our headliner was Snoop Dogg (he’ll be in town next week, incidentally). And on Saturday, March 15, we’ll stumble our way up Greenville to spend some quality time with Southern hip-hop legend Ludacris.

Presale tickets are $15, and they’ll be on sale starting next Tuesday, February 11 at 10 a.m. via Ticket Fly. To access the presale code, sign up for the Observer music newsletter or SMS list, which you can do here.

We’ll announce the rest of the lineup in the coming weeks. But they will be supporting Ludacris: The man from Atlanta who defied early label apathy to become one of the most commercially successful rappers ever. The man who brought you classics like “Southern Hospitality and is probably hip-hop’s greatest chorus writer. He’s capable of silly and of blinding lyrical chops, and also all those Fast and Furious movies. He is also one of the single most entertaining stage musicians working. It should be yet another St. Patrick’s Day to not remember.
