Behold! He who has ears to hear, let him hear: The Doodlebops cometh. The peppy trio, armed with guitars, keyboards and drums, are coming to save the immortal souls of your children in the blessed name of music education. Gather ’round the Doodlebops and be amazed by their costumes of many colors, impenetrable smiles and incessant, repetitive singing! Be awed by their wacky dance moves as they manipulate their bodies into weird and wonderful contortions. Look into their faces and ye shall know fear, for the Doodlebop shall be sung and danced to above all other children’s idols. The Doodlebops will not be disobeyed, for their wrath is great, mighty and a pretty shade of pinkish-blue. Bring your children as offerings unto the Doodlebops, who will perform two separate holy rites of kid-tainment Saturday at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, 1001 NextStage Drive. The first show is at 12:30 p.m., the second giggle-fueled bout starts at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $40 (buy tickets for the later performance at the theater itself); parking is $12. Call 214-373-8000 or visit ticketmaster.com.
Sat., Jan. 20, 12:30 & 3 p.m.
