She’s a top-rated author, lecturer, professor of animal science and is the big, beautiful brain behind the humane reorganization of the slaughterhouse industry for fast-food giants like McDonald’s and Burger King. Also, Dr. Temple Grandin is autistic. She’s dedicated her life to world betterment, and in doing so has shown that the autistic community simply sees the world at a different frequency than its counterparts. That ability to understand what the rest of us cannot may be key to improving life for everyone from animals to humans. Grandin will be at the Dallas Museum of Art (1717 N. Harwood St.)on Friday sharing readings and stories from her vast catalog of work as part of the museum’s Arts and Letters Live series.
