PhotoVelo is a super rad bicycle scavenger hunt in which the list is the opposite of lame. They’re not looking for a gnawed pencil or a used Kabbalah string. They’re looking for amazing things like a team member dressed in a quinceañera gown … for serious. (Also, that was a challenge from the past so don’t go all cheaterface and try to knock one out early.) In order to get credit for each item on the list, you have to take a picture, get the pictures developed and make it back to home base by 5 p.m. Pedal in at 5:01 p.m. and you’re disqualified. The hunt takes you through Downtown Dallas, the Arts District, the Cedars and Deep Ellum and the winning team of two or four takes home a Lee Harvey’s gift certificate. Entry is free and participants will receive happy hour prices all day at Lee Harvey’s (1807 Gould St.), which is where the race kicks off promptly at noon on Sunday.
