In kindergarten, it never occurred to many of us tykes that in between lying on fold-out mats and playing with four-square balls, we could find our artistic voice. Many of us were more concerned with the taste of Elmer’s than with what we were applying with it. Evita Tezeno, however, a Port Arthur native, found her calling in collage, applying Cubist techniques to her brightly colored, rhythmic works. The Black Academy of Arts and Letters’ James E.
