Everyone’s had a bout of genius on a cocktail napkin. Well, more likely, everyone’s thought at one time they’ve just crafted some brilliant turn of phrase, created a stunning work of art or drafted the best pick-up line ever. Few really have. When James Watral says, “Come see my cocktail creations,” however, it’s a different story. Eastfield’s Gallery 219 features an installation of Watral’s drawings and ceramic sculptures inspired by cocktail napkin doodles and scribbles. They speak to concerns of the historic and social varieties…which is more than we can say about anything we’ve written on napkins. Check out Shaken and Stirred 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through November 2 on the Main Floor of Eastfield’s Fine Arts Building. Call 972-860-7162.
Mondays-Fridays. Starts: Oct. 8. Continues through Nov. 2, 2007
