If you don’t have spotty patches of lower back hair, you probably already know it’s Women’s History Month. And while it’s not a dance-in-the-streets type event, it’s still a time to come together as women … and bitch about our periods. Just kidding. It’s a time to look back at the issues we’ve overcome and look forward to new challenges, too. Perhaps there’s no better place to do this than the 18th Annual Black Women’s Film Festival at the South Dallas Cultural Center. The festival features films both long and short about women and thought-provoking topics. Check it out March 16-17 at 7:30 p.m. at the South Dallas Cultural Center Theater located at 3400 South Fitzhugh. Tickets are $10 each evening. For more information visit dallasculture.org/SDCulturalCenter or call 214-939-2787.
