Texas Theatre is going to screen Who Framed Roger Rabbit in 35 mm this weekend (Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14), honoring the film’s quarter century anniversary.

Now, if our math is right, that means it’s been 25 years since you experienced one of your childhood’s most confusing, conflicting moments. Remember, this cross-pollinated watercolor meets live-action world focused around a gentleman’s club vixen and slapstick rabbit set in technicolor noir Toontown, a segregated rough Hollywood outpost. If a toon-hating human detective can’t solve the case, a cartoon genocide will occur.

Yeah, cartoon genocide. Romantic betrayal. Murder. Giant bouncy toon boobs. Dip and the mob. That was big stuff for nine-year-old you to see in a theater. Especially from the front row.
