If you’re a film buff, you’d be wise to check out the UNT Multicultural Center’s Each One Teach One film series, where students and teachers brown bag and convene for films that enlighten, as well as philosophical discussion on the state of diversification within the world community. They’ll be doing such this next go-round with a cinematic question mark, 2005’s Crash, the most mediocre film to win the best picture Oscar this side of Rain Man. And I predict that next year at this time, they’ll be showing Babel, another piece of particularly contrived celluloid twaddle. The film screens 6 p.m. Thursday in the University Union, 1155 Union Circle, Room 422, in Denton. The screening is open to the public. Call 940-369-7297 for details.
