As arts budgets reduce and grant money evaporates, we feel the absence of creative exposure. That buck then gets passed to families, who in turn have to fund cultural experiences out-of-pocket. This Saturday you’ll get some relief as ArtsPark returns to provide a whole afternoon’s worth of completely free and totally awesome arts activities. Live dance performances by Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Contemporary Dance Fort Worth and Maguire School of Irish Dance will dare your feet into coordinated movement. Interactive art stations also fill out NorthPark Center (8689 N. Central Expressway) with watercolors, sculpture projects and general hands-on fun. And remember, ArtsPark isn’t just for kids and their families, it’s for everyone who’s curious about the arts, the groups participating in advancing them and folks who want to be more involved in local cultural happenings. Join the party from noon to 4 p.m. Visit northparkcenter.com.
