There are certain things in life that you just aren’t supposed to do, like sell acid out of an ice cream truck, switch out Grannie’s Fixodent with super glue, let your pet monkey ride around on your dog and steal your ex-girlfriend’s The Big Lebowski DVD–quite possibly the worst thing ANYONE could do! What am I supposed to do at 2 a.m. when I have a hankering to see Jesus polish his balls or Walter discuss the tenets of National Socialism. You might as well take away my bottle of Kahlua or my will to live–it’s all the same. If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting The Dude, then let me sum it up for you: name confusion, bowling, dismembered toes, nihilists, Vietnam and a rug that really tied the room together. Now can you understand why you aren’t supposed to take people’s things? The Big Lebowski will be back on the big screen this Friday and Saturday for Midnight Madness at the Inwood Theatre (5458 W. Lovers Lane). For more information, call 214-764-9106 or visit landmarktheatres.com.
