America doesn’t take kindly to foreigners these days. We’ve got civilians constantly monitoring our borders with guns and political figureheads calling for non-figurative walls to be built because they need votes and didn’t pay attention in their high school world history class. Occasionally, one of these non-Americans seeps through the cracks and we should consider ourselves lucky that Steve Hirst is one of them. The Manchester native has a very unique perspective on the American experience and a sledgehammer delivery that barely gives audiences a chance to breathe.
