Mom...now there was a crabby cook. Ah, a man can still hear her in the kitchen opening up cans of vegetables and searing meat in old grease scooped from a can atop the stove. Bam! Dirty word! Bang! Really dirty word! And finally: "Come eat your damn dinner before I THROW IT TO THE DOGS." (We didn't have dogs, but you try telling that to a mad woman holding a kitchen knife.) If only Mom had met Jessica Harper, actress and author of The Crabby Cook Cookbook, who's leading a class at Central Market's Cooking School at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Her mission is to take the crabbiness out of daily cooking by offering simple, family-friendly recipes. She'll demonstrate some of them during the two-hour class at the Central Market at 5750 E.
