Want something to be thankful for? How about less stress and a good Thanksgiving dinner from a local restaurant?

OK, we admit it. That's a chicken. Regardless, Thanksgiving is not the time to try your hand at bird-smoking when plenty of Dallas chefs will do it for you ... and better.

Why spend an exorbitant amount of time in the kitchen this holiday season when you can get one of Dallas’ celebrated chefs to do all the heavy lifting? Exactly.

Several places joined the Thanksgiving takeout train this year, which gives us a good bit of variety on the roster.

A couple of BBQ joints are serving smoked turkeys and chickens, an elegant dinner is being served by a Michelin-recognized spot and others are getting down with the good ol’ classics like green bean casserole and coconut cream pie.

This is where to get your Thanksgiving to go in Dallas.

Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
