Speaking of both Play-N-Skillz and Dirk, we’d heard on Friday that the hip-hop production duo was working on a track about the Mavericks and their NBA Finals victory. This morning, the brother Salinas formally released the track, called “Victory,” no doubt a reference to both the championship and the part of town where the Mavericks play (the American Airlines Center is located in Victory Park).
In addition to the above video, the brothers have released the track as a free download. It’s the first song of note released in the wake of the Mavericks’ championship win — as the team advanced to the NBA Finals, you may recall, both B-Hamp and Dorrough released updated versions of old songs to reference the team. Download the song — the latest in the ever-growing Mavs canon — after the jump, and keep an eye out for further releases from Play-N-Skillz in the near future as the brothers have also announced that they’ll be releasing a “dance/electro inspired mixtape” called Fireworks on July 4.
