You know Aaron Eiland’s work. Dude is clearly good at what he does. Here, the Dallas-based graphic designer proves it again.

Emphasizing the “Cold War” aspect of Cold War Kids’ name, Eiland’s
design here gets all Space Race-y on us, putting a dog in space. A dead
dog? Maybe just a sleeping one? Either way, it’s still pretty adorable,
considering that jumpsuit. Everybody together now: Awww.

It’s just another pretty design from a guy who knows a thing or two
about pretty designs. All the pertinent show info is there, too — the
band names, the date, the venue — although some of it is on there in
some fairly small type. That’s the only bone (see what I did there?)
there is to pick with this design, but it’s a small one.

Nice stuff. Cold War Kids and Fool’s Gold, who share tonight’s South Side Music Hall bill should be pleased.

Think your poster is better? Want to see one of your designs get honored
next week? Drop us an e-mail
with an image promoting an upcoming show right here. Oh, and, when possible, be sure to do so at least a week in advance of the show. Thanks!
