Ben Piché of Darstar designed this poster for tomorrow night’s show at Rubber Gloves, using tarot cards as his influence. He didn’t have them read, he just literally wanted the poster to look like a tarot card. I’m not sure what this particular pipe-smoking centaur releasing a falcon represents in terms of fortune, but the sun is exploding, so it can’t be bad, right?

“I like to call him the Centaurian Falconer” Piché says. “[Darstar guitarist] Lisa [Hardaway] wanted me to do a tarot card-style flyer for a while now. She’s the one that is really into tarot cards, Ouija boards and palm readings. Combine that with my love of centaurs and other mythical beasts and we had a flyer idea.”

If you can’t make it to Denton tomorrow, catch Darstar and more locals tonight at the Annex House’s final show, which also has a pretty great poster. Anyone know what video game this was from?
