If you’re looking to get into the creepier side of DFW Saturday, Lola’s is the place to lurk. Three local acts with an affinity for dark corners converge: Fort Worth’s Pinkish Black and Dallas’ Nervous Curtains should probably just do a split 7-inch, since their synth-driven theatrics lie on two sides of the same coin, though it looks like Pinkish Black’s long-awaited full-length will finally see the light of day in the next month or so. Make sure to get there early for Vulgar Fashion, the Denton duo of Julie McKendrick and Andrew Michael, and get a good seat deep within the bowels of their disco nightmare.
