Sufjan Stevens

Odds are if you've picked up a music rag or shopped at Good Records in the past two years, you've heard of Sufjan Stevens and his ambitious 50 states project. The idea of recording a concept album for every state may have been a great PR move, but it's surely the bane of his existence by now, with only two states down (Michigan and Illinois) and 48 to go. No wonder he's on the road--the man needs material. On Wednesday, Stevens brings his unique brand of orchestral folk-pop to the Lakewood Theater for his first North Texas concert, where he's likely to preview a smattering of new material, so bring your atlas.
