Were you hoping for some time travel this afternoon? Well, aren’t you in luck.

Dallas booty shaker and party maker DJ Sober is on tour right now gracing the East Coast with his presence and those smooth fades. Sober assures me we won’t lose him to those New York cool kids even if he has already been offered a Boston weekly and drove several of Le Bain’s beautiful people into the rooftop pool.

And in a twist of fate for your earholes, Sober’s return to NYC meant a fated hookup with the now NYC-based DJ Select and DJ Nature (now in Puerto Rico) as they all just happened to be in the same city at the same time. Woe is Dallas that it wasn’t Dallas, because that means the alumni of beloved Zubar monthly The Party are all behind the decks in the same area code RIGHT THIS MINUTE.

Or at least they will be between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time, when they will be taking over Radio Lily airwaves for a reunion show of sorts. You are welcome and you can listen here.

We’re thankful for you. Are you thankful for us?

We feel thankful for our staff and for the privilege of fulfilling our mission to be an unparalleled source of information and insight in Dallas. We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community.
Help us continue giving back to Dallas.

$30,000

DJ Select is now in NYC DJing full time and DJ Nature, in NYC for a show with Mima, has also taken the reins producing for Puerto Rican reggae artist Young Ragga. You can catch up here.

But the real question on everyone’s mind when The Party is discussed is always, “When do we get a reunion?”

Sober’s tight-lipped as ever. “Patience. Timing has to be perfect.”

Which today, means roughly 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. here). Tune in, sugars.
