Today In Music News: Lily Allen Threatens Katy Perry; The Stooges' Ron Asheton Dies; Jay-Z Meets Radiohead

Your daily dose of national music news for Wednesday, January 7, 2009...

  • Finally, a music feud we can all get behind: Lily Allen is still mad at Katy Perry for referring to herself as "the skinny Lily Allen." So Lily said that if Perry says one more thing about her she's going to post her phone number up on Facebook. Not quite Biggie/Tupac, but what do you expect from pop singers?
  • Stooges guitarist and founding member Ron Asheton was found dead in his Ann Arbor, MI home at the age of 60
  • I guess Jay-Z knew what he was doing when he released the acapella version of the Black Album. In the several years since it's release, he's been mashed up with anyone and everyone. Now DJ Minty Fresh Beats has released Jaydiohead, paring Hova with Radiohead. You can download the album for free right here. --Lance Lester
