So, one of those “Welcome Home, George & Laura” signs popped up in my neighborhood this week — because, right, he will totally see it and appreciate the awesome gesture. And since we are days away from George and Laura’s move to the ‘229, I thought it best to see what the president was up to over on the White House Web site, always a good source for amazing photos of Dubya in action (which is to say, on the phone). Turns out, he’s wrappin’ it up with two brand-new cumbersomely titled best-of collections: Highlights of Accomplishments and Results of the Administration of George W. Bush and 100 Things Americans May Not Know About the Bush Administration Record. From the latter: “Enacted the Do Not Call List, which 145 million Americans have utilized to reduce unwanted telemarketing calls.” See there? Mission accomplished. –Robert Wilonsky

Update: Alas, as of yesterday KERA-FM (90.1) no longer airs Day to Day, which today aired a 12-minute piece titled “Is Dallas Ready to Embrace the Bush Family?” Lousy timing.
