If you pre-ordered Oak Cliff-based indie/hip-hop artist Dustin Cavazos‘ debut album, I Think In The Shower, I Dream On My Bike, then chances are, you heard a knock on your door yesterday.

Instead of using the traditional means of album distribution–y’know, putting a stamp on a package and letting the mail man do the rest–Cavazos went door to door and hand-delivered the record to all his DFW fans who pre-ordered it.

Says Cavazos: “We were kinda just knocking on people’s doors who pre-ordered. You know, kinda to reward them for pre-ordering.”

Everyone else will to wait until his album release show at Maximedia Studios on May 29 to get their copies–but it’s worth it, if only for the album’s fifth track, “Fresh,” which finds Cavazos cleverly employing a sample of The Chi-Lites’ “Have You Seen Her.” Expect more on Cavazos as we approach the album’s release date.
