Torani — slogan: “You Know, That Syrup Pump That Makes Starbucks Coffee Less Shitty-Tasting” — is readying a new flavor for debut next month: Chicken ‘n Waffles.
Super Hilarious Update 4/3/2012: Torani announced that this was an April Fool’s joke disguised a viral campaign. But wait, wasn’t it announced way before April Fool’s? And didn’t it have a Marketwatch story? Sneaky Torani. Sneaky.
Torani’s VP of Marketing, Julie Garlikov (great name), tells Marketwatch: “Chicken ‘n Waffles is the perfect follow up to bacon.” The bacon to which she’s referring is, of course, the company’s Bacon Syrup. We’re thinking every diner table should come with a bottle of Chicken ‘n Waffles, bottle of Bacon, and a big ol’ one of hot sauce. Apply liberally to everything. And, yes, that includes putting Chicken ‘n Waffles syrup on chicken ‘n waffles.
Also good? The nutritional facts. See: no fat. Lots and lots of tears, mostly for the general downfall of mankind. But no fat.
