Everyone knows about the jolly fat man who can fly around the planet in one night, breaking into houses and leaving mysterious gifts for all of the little children of the world. Kids are pretty gullible, and they have no problems believing that a guy in a red suit, fueled by milk and cookies and led by flying reindeer, will bring them whatever presents they want, provided they play well and ask nicely. For those young believers who feel the need to get one last convo in with the big man, take them over to Mrs. Baird’s Bakery in Fort Worth (7301 S. Freeway) this weekend. There will be tasty treats, hot cocoa and milk available, free photos with Santa and a craft station to occupy the tykes while they wait for their sit-down with St. Nick. And to instill a little goodwill in your kids, be sure to have them pick out and bring a special toy to donate to Cook Children’s Hospital—let ’em know that giving to others is a sure-fire way to make it onto Santa’s “nice” list. Santa will make his last appearance at the bakery from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Call 817-615-3000 or visit mrsbairds.com.
