Lonesome blues are far from long gone. Bella Hadid and her Fort Worth-residing professional cowboy (ex)boyfriend have split after more than two years together, according to Entertainment Tonight. If love was real before, it isn’t now.

In 2024, Hadid moved to a ranch near Fort Worth to be closer to her mother, who also lives in the area, and met national championship-winning equestrian Adan Banuelos, while living her Southern dreams. The professional horse cutter had no idea who the supermodel was when they met, according to her; she found it especially refreshing. For the last two years, Hadid fully adopted country living and was even spotted at various rodeo events and competitions, showing off her skills in competitive horse cutting. It was the makings of a real-life bad romance novel. Except they broke up, shattering the hearts of women everywhere dreaming of their own cowboy Casanova and living vicariously through Hadid.

In an October anniversary post, Banuelos wrote a loving dedication to his partner.

“October’s become a special month,” he wrote about the model and pro-Palestine activist. “It’s the month God sent you. Even with all the chaos and ugliness, He gave us something pure and beautiful. Love you, baby. I’ll keep reminding you every day just how much.”

One of the highest-paid models and an entrepreneur in her own right, she is still living the dream. But even if you are considered one of the most beautiful women alive, a broken heart still hurts.

“Bella is doing her best to stay positive and distract herself since their split,” an anonymous source told ET. “She’s been staying busy with work and spending time with close friends. She is still processing the breakup since it was a very serious relationship.”

Does this mean no more spontaneous trips to Dolly Python? And can we kiss goodbye to her perfume brand, Orabella, doing pop-ups in Knox-Henderson? Or should we keep an eagle eye on the ice cream aisle at Fort Worth grocery stores? Has she yee-ed her last haw? Could we poach her from Fort Worth and make her a city slicker in Big D? Do we have to find a new Best Cowgirl/Supermodel for the 2026 Best of Dallas issue? What’s Alex Consani up to, and can she ride a horse?

Tough to say, but we know that if our breakup was in headlines, and we had access to a first-class ticket to anywhere, we certainly wouldn’t be drowning our sorrows at the stockyards.

Time heals all wounds. We wish the best to Hadid. And to whoever Banuelos dates next when they realize his ex-girlfriend is the 2022 Model of the Year and a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
