Do you think you could survive a zombie apocalypse? No? Maybe you just need some training in the field of zombie evasion. Put on your running shoes and head to Forney this Saturday to Run for Your Lives where you’ll join your fellow humans in a 5K obstacle course where zombies attack at every turn. To avoid infection and perpetuate the human race, you’ll need to be nimble. Regardless of your condition when you reach the safe zone (we hope you can keep all of your limbs intact), everyone’s welcome to join the fun at the post-race apocalypse party, where you can share battle stories with your fellow survivors over a few beers while listening to some good tunes. Race waves start between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the battle grounds, aka Cousins Paintball, 8975 FM 740 in South Forney. Registration for the race is $87 to $97, and it’s free for spectators to enjoy the carnage and the apocalypse party. Visit runforyourlives.com.
