Andrew Lloyd Webber fans, let’s rap. The Dallas Theater Center is hosting ALW’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which is also known as a completely accurate telling of the famous Old Testament story. That is, if the biblical tale involved rock music, a children’s chorus and a Charleston number. (Who’s to say it didn’t? You weren’t there.) Those looking for authenticity can spend the afternoon digging through drab religious texts; the rest can enjoy this classic score by Webber and Rice at the AT&T Center’s Wylie Theatre (2400 Flora St.) Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Fun local actor fact: Performing will be Liz Mikel, whom you might recognize as Corinna Williams, Smash’s mom on Friday Night Lights, or from her recent role in the Broadway musical Lysistrata Jones. Joseph and the entirety of his closet runs Tuesdays through Sundays until August 12. Tickets range $15 to $80. Call 214-954-9925 or visit dallastheatercenter.org.

Tuesdays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: June 24. Continues through Aug. 12, 2012
