Leslie Jordan is, hands down, one of the most entertaining people out there–it’s nearly impossible to witness a Jordan performance without breaking into smiles and laughter. Whether you’re short or tall, gay or straight, soft-spoken or rambunctious as all get out, the pint sized character actor is sure to have a place in your heart. Not only has Jordan had well-received stints in television favorites like Reba, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty and Will & Grace, he’s also an accomplished author, playwright and performer, whose latest starring role comes in the upcoming Texas-shot feature Mangus! However, if you can’t wait for the movie’s premiere next year, you can catch Jordan this week as he makes a Dallas stop for a very special performance of Leslie Jordan’s Church Revival, in which he’ll be joined by local fave Paul J. Williams in the role of Sister Helen Holy. Don’t miss Brother Leslie in this one-of-a-kind event 7 p.m. Thursday at the Weisfeld Center, 1508 Cadiz St. Tickets are $40 to $250 with all proceeds benefiting Legacy Counseling Center, which provides individual and group counseling to HIV-positive people and their families.
