Did you hear the news? Guns N’ Roses is on tour again. But with Axl Rose as the only original member in the band’s present line-up, you have to wonder if a live show is even worth it. There’s no more Izzy, Dizzy, Duff or Slash, and with his Cher-tastic plastic surgery makeover, Axl’s pretty much a parody of his old self anyway. You might as well sit at home and listen to your old records and cassettes or go see a cover band if you truly want to rock out. Thankfully, you can do the latter and head over to the Lakewood Theater (1825 Abrams Parkway) on Friday for an evening with Child o’ Mine, a GN’R tribute band, complete with costumes and props. Opening acts will be local tribute bands Blaze of Glory, Diver Down and Blizzard of Ozz. Doors are at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call 214-821-SHOW or visit lakewoodtheater.com.
Fri., July 20, 7 p.m.
