Conspiracy theorists take note: The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, everyone’s favorite literary hoax that tells of the Jewish/Masonic plot to take over the world using brainwashing, world wars, materialism and, yes, even pornography, has a lovely little step-child courtesy of Noah Simblist, an assistant professor of art at the SMU Meadows School. Simblist’s fictional group, the “New Elders of Zion,” have a new post-modern plan for total domination based on the strategies of 20th century artists (possibly another cabal on the rise?) and they have the documents and drawings to prove it. Noah Simblist: Protocols of Zion will be on display through December 1 at Pollock Gallery in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center, 3140 Dyer St. on the SMU campus. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays (closed on Wednesdays) and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Call 214-768-4439 or visit smu.edu/meadows.
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays-Saturdays. Starts: Oct. 29. Continues through Dec. 1, 2007
