You may have heard people say that no good deed goes unpunished. This was artist Dan Eldon’s reality. The African photographer dedicated much of his life to service in Africa, raising funds and mentoring students, and it was there where he was stoned to death at age 23. But the joy in the journey that ended so tragically is evident in his journals and other artistic ephemera, on display now in Fort Worth. Journeys: Dan Eldon’s Images of War and Peace runs through March 24 at Fort Worth Community Arts Center, 1300 Gendy St., Fort Worth. Admission is free. Call 817-738-1938 or visit fwcac.com.
