Attending a gallery show can be a bit like walking into a dark room–there may be a happy surprise waiting for you, or you may want to run away screaming in horror. Luckily you know that shows at Conduit Gallery fall into the first category, as they’ve built a reputation in town of being able to find and expose some of the best local and national talent time and time again. This time they bring three great artists in the exhibitions faktura/tektonika (featuring the works of Lance Letscher), Slow (by Stephen Lapthisophon) and the Jennie Ottinger exhibition in the Project Room. The exhibitions run now through June 6 at Conduit Gallery, 1626 C Hi Line Drive. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Call 214-939-0064 or visit conduitgallery.com.

Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: May 7. Continues through June 6, 2009
