There’s an old saying that one can never be too rich or too thin. It’s an old saying for a reason; these days we know all too well the dangers of being too thin. But according to some tabloids, Hollywood has yet to get the memo. Filmmaker Lauren Greenfield is a Hollywood anomaly, bringing the real tragedies of eating disorders to the silver screen in her film THIN. Unlike shiny tabloids, Greenfield sugarcoats nothing. The film has also spawned an exhibit of the same name which explores in-depth the photographs, personal journals and interviews from the movie’s making and its subjects. See THIN now through April 22 at the Women’s Museum in Fair Park. Museum hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Partial film screenings are at 1 p.m. Fridays. Admission is $5. Call 214-925-0860 or visit thewomensmuseum.org.

Feb. 22-April 22
