Traditionally, the term “lucky stiff” refers to some average a-hole who finds himself in a suddenly fortuitous situation, liking winning the lotto or bedding some beautiful dame who’s way out of his league (all of this starts to make a lot more sense if you talk about it in a 1930s radio announcer voice, FYI.) Will shoe salesman Harry Witherspoon–the protagonist of the play Lucky Stiff–strike it rich when his wealthy uncle kicks the bucket? You’ll have to see the play to find out. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through August 2 at the Runway Theatre, 215 N. Dooley St. in Grapevine. Tickets are $15, $12 for students and seniors. Call 817-488-4842 or visit runwaytheatre.com.

Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: July 10. Continues through Aug. 2, 2009
