Once the mercury bubbled up past 100 last weekend, you might have been more drawn to the nearest open freezer than to downtown’s sweaty West End–but then, you would’ve missed the “crown jewel” of local summer street food events, Taste of Dallas.
Sure, the menu options leaned a little to the Taco Cabana end of the dining spectrum, but what the festival lacked in gourmet cred, it more than made up for with carnival rides, talent contests, balloon animals and supporting cast from Disney Channel shows.
For plenty more people- and food-watching, check out our slideshow from the festival.
