As Spring Break Comes to an End, Mods and Rockers Ride Into the Sunset

Friend of the show Danny Hurley spent last weekend snapping the dress-ups at the science-fiction convention, as you may recall. This weekend, he's been hanging out with the Rockers vs Mods. Here's a sneak peek in advance of a full-on slide show coming tomorrow. Also due tomorrow: a slide show from the America's Next Top Model tryouts at Fair Park, a preview of Mayor Tom Leppert's to-do list this week, a look at how the city's considering regulating the booting of cars in private lots, and Schutze's post-vacay response to what may be the last Dallas Morning News story I will ever read.

Looks like spring break is over.

Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
