Pretty lackluster episode of Saturday Night Live last night -- and no, that isn't a cue for you to go on about how the show hasn't been worth watching since (insert whatever era during which you first saw the show). It's been strong lately, a nice mix of "funny ha-ha" and "funny weird," as comedy types say. But last night, with host Charlie Day and musical guest Maroon 5: Meh.
However. After Alec Baldwin turned in a so-so Rick Perry on the season premiere, the gig of lampooning our governor went to Bill Hader last night. His Hammered Rick had me in tears -- both tears of ha-ha and tears of holy-shit-this-guy's-the-governor. Enjoy.
