This Week in Racism ...
Even discounted for his putrid opponent, Yu Darvish pitched one of the best games in Rangers history last night, setting down 26 straight Astros before yielding a grounder up the middle with two outs in the ninth. The performance lit up Twitter, mostly with adulation but also with some Grade A racism.
Let's bask in the ugliness of our fellow man, shall we?
The heck is Yu Darvish? Probably some jap baseball player.— Vadim Belonovich (@VadimBelonovich) April 3, 2013

Wish I could throw the ball like Yu Darvish, little Jap is going for that perfect game— Vincenzo LaCava (@Vincenzo_LaCava) April 3, 2013
All Yu Darvish needed was a year settle in the MLB, now he's a monster. His physical statue is rare for a Jap. Rangers payed ALOT for him.— Kyle Moule (@KyleMoule) April 3, 2013
This will be the only time I root for a chink or jap or whatever the hell he is. #Yu— Ian Miller (@IanMiller42) April 3, 2013
Ian brings up an excellent point. Some people probably don't realize that Darvish is Japanese and, being racist morons, assume he's Chinese. Let's check in with this special brand of racist.
Damn and I was so exited to listen to yu darvish's speak chink at the press conference— Jordan Commer (@jcooms10) April 3, 2013
Yu darvish is just a chink in the armor— Collin Hickok (@csredhawk18) April 3, 2013
