While Yu Darvish Threw a Near-Perfect Game, Twitter Was Calling Him "Jap" and "Chink"

This Week in Racism ...

Even discounted for his putrid opponent, Yu Darvish pitched one of the best games in Rangers history last night, setting down 26 straight Astros before yielding a grounder up the middle with two outs in the ninth. The performance lit up Twitter, mostly with adulation but also with some Grade A racism.

Let's bask in the ugliness of our fellow man, shall we?


Ian brings up an excellent point. Some people probably don't realize that Darvish is Japanese and, being racist morons, assume he's Chinese. Let's check in with this special brand of racist.
