I just got a cryptic email from Lindsey Miller and Associates, the firm that handles Oak in the Design District. The email confirms a previously unsubstantiated blog post on Crave that broke the news earlier that executive chef Jason Maddy has left the restaurant.

From the email…

Out of respect for Jason and his family, we cannot go into details. But due to personal health reasons, he is no longer Executive Chef of Oak.

Miller refused to comment further, but did confirm the separation is permanent. Thomas Gray, who was recently appointed Chef de Cuisine will stand in as the acting executive chef for Oak.
