This afternoon, Unfair Park will be taking a short hiatus as we remodel the Midway. This shouldn’t take long, which means, of course, it’ll take longer than expected. When we return, we’ll look different and yet very much the same; it’s just a little Botox and those new plugs we’ve been eyeing.
Till then, oh, you might wanna read this excerpt from Warren Leslie’s great book Dallas Public and Private: Aspects of an American City, originally published in 1964 and re-issued nine years ago by the Southern Medhodist University Press. It’s essential reading for newcomers and natives — much like Unfair Park. Or not. Here’s some video too: Tim Duncan getting escorted out of the American Airlines Center yesterday.
