Our country's economy is on the precipice of collapse, and comedian Louis CK isn't so sure it would be a bad thing if it took the plunge. "When I read things like, 'The foundations of capitalism are collapsing,' I think, 'Maybe we need that,'" he said during a Late Night With Conan O'Brien appearance in which he observed how much life has improved since he was little--and how little a generation of spoiled idiots appreciates the advances. "Maybe we need to go back to a time when you were walking around with a donkey with pots clanging on the side. Because everything is amazing right now, and nobody's happy...If you wanted money, you had to go in the bank, when it was open for like three hours, and you had to stand in line and write yourself a check like an idiot. And then when you ran out of money, you just went, 'Well, I can't do anymore things now.'" His whole routine isn't just grumpy-old-man observations. He's also got a hysterical bit about gratitude for being born a white male that ventures into a racial territory where few white comics dare to tread.
