When he’s not playing as part of post-rock band Fridge, the Brit earns critical praise with ambitious solo albums as alter ego Four Tet in which he blends acoustic samples with electronic grooves. His latest effort, Everything Ecstatic, veers away from lo-fi territory that characterized his earlier solo work and goes heavier on international rhythms. Whichever era of Four Tet material Hebden focuses on Friday night shouldn’t matter, as his live show is as intriguing a mix of live and programmed elements as his albums.
