There’s a recognizable, tall metalhead who wears black glasses and is super nerd-funny. You may not know his name (you should—it’s Brian Posehn), but you’ve seen him in pivotal roles. No, not the ones on Mr. Show and the Sarah Silverman Program. Too easy. Those were great and all, but we’re talking serious history-making shit. Shit like delivering the script that killed Joey Tribbiani’s Dr. Drake Ramoray, serving as Dethklok’s second manager, appearing in an Anthrax video, or popping up in YouTube videos from Gathering of the Juggalos. He’s also in that new movie Five Year Engageme—oh, nevermind. Here’s the real kicker: He was the guy with the prolapsed rectum in Californication. Point is, Posehn may not be a household name, but he’s a household face by way of his character acting. The dude does a lot of stand-up, too, and can be identified as part of an elite group known as the Comedians of Comedy (with Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford and Zach Galifinakis). Throw some horns at the man when Posehn rocks Dallas—Hyena’s Dallas in Mockingbird Station, specifically—with his metallicomedic presence May 10 and 11.
