Your dog is boring. His “big trick” involves chewing through your: shoes, shirts, pants pockets, records (jazz, specifically), books, bedding, trash can, leather couch and kitchen supplies. Man, you really loved that frying pan. Fortunately, he’s handsome, so his creature comforts remain secure. The stars of Stunt Dog Experience earn their keep the old-fashioned way: They work for it. Imagine an impeccably trained K9 sports team — gladiator grade, but also fast and nimble. They fly like sugar gliders, weave through obstacles like show ponies and perform acrobatics that would challenge Olympic athletes. (I’m glad they’re on our side; these dogs could easily be a crack team of K9 spies.) While the show is billed as an interactive family experience, it’s also an educational one: All of these showboat hounds are intelligent, scrappy rescues, so Stunt Dog Experience reinforces that you don’t need to buy a purebred to own an amazing pup. There are two shows scheduled Saturday in they newly BYOB Strauss Square, 2403 Flora St., one at 10 a.m. and the other at 12:30 p.m. Tickets start at $10. Visit tickets.attpac.org.
