Ah, the mid-life crisis. When men may turn to speedy sports cars and hair replacement therapy to replace their dwindling testosterone. When women may spend hours at Curves, squeeze into a pair of high-waisted, too-tight tapered jeans purchased in approximately 1988 and spend their Tuesday nights with girlfriends at the local No Frills Grill, making eyes at men with speedy sports cars and hair plugs. To each his own. But I commend the Dallas Tap Dazzlers, our very own local 45-and-up tap-dancing group, for approaching mid-life the way mid-life should be approached: with sequined costumes, control-top pantyhose and some sweet, sweet tap-dancin’ beats. Rock on, laydeez. They’re performing with the Lake Highlands Wildcat Wranglers Saturday, March 4, at the Eastfield College Performance Hall, 3737 Motley Drive in Mesquite. Admission is free, and the show starts at 7:30 pm. Call 972-860-7185.
Sat., March 4, 7:30 p.m.
