If movies over the past 30 years have taught me anything, it’s that Nazis can be used as instant villains in a pinch. They’ve fought with everyone from Hellboy to Indiana Jones. Regardless of setting, time, or genre they always seem to be plotting some nefarious way to take over the world. In Iron Sky, which will be showing at the Texas Theatre on Wednesday, the Nazis weren’t destroyed at the end of the war. Instead, they escaped to the moon and built a space fleet in order to dominate the world and start a Fourth Reich. The Texas Theatre will only show the film if 40 advanced tickets are purchased, so chip in $10 to help our boys fight off those wacky Nazis. The invasion begins at 7:30 p.m.. The Texas Theatre is located at 231 W. Jefferson Blvd in Oak Cliff. For more information, call 214-948-1546 or visit thetexastheatre.com.
