I’ve often wondered the what-ifs of life—the ramifications of social smoking, how far I can push my hair color and still be taken seriously, my future as a cat lady. Here’s something I never really wondered about until author Laura Numeroff brought it up: If You Give a Pig a Party… what’s gonna happen? I mean, I was right there with her on If You Give a Mouse a Cookie—I’ve thought about that. (I decided against it, as I wasn’t sure about the chocolate-tolerance of mice.) But the pig and the party. That was a new one. The Dallas Children’s Theater tackles that brain work for me with a musical adaptation of the book (and musing) Fridays through Sundays (through October 22) at 5938 Skillman St. Tickets are $14 to $18. Call 214-740-0051 or visit dct.org.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 23. Continues through Oct. 22
