There’s just nothing as satisfying as making others feel really bad about themselves. Take it from the Observer. We’ve made an entire publishing career out of it. Most times, people deserve it. But we stand up for the little guy, and that means rooting for the underdog in The Nerd, a play by Larry Shue. Nerds get a bad enough rap, and now we’re gonna put some guy on spectacle for an entire weekend just because he might think wearing socks with sandals is a wise fashion choice? Oh, hell. You’re right. It’s unforgivable. Point and stare with abandon at the Duncanville Community Theatre, 106 S. Main St. in Duncanville. Shows are at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Tickets are $8 to $10. Visit dctheatre.org.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Sept. 14. Continues through Sept. 23
