This Wednesday Dallas Mavericks do basketball battle with the New York Knicks, the team that famously let Jeremy “Linsanity” Lin sign with the Houston Rockets in the offseason. The Knicks started the season 3-0 for the first time in over 10 years, and are looking quite un-Knicksish. The Dirk-less Mavs have also started the season off hot, and are led in points by first-year Mavericks Darren Collison and O.J. Mayo. The pair ushers in a less geriatric era for the Mavs, where youth and agility trump senior discounts at Denny’s. Wednesday night will be an exciting second collision between these very high-skilled, fast teams. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. at the American Airlines Center (2500 Victory Ave.). Tickets start at $30. Get ’em at mavs.com, or through Ticketmaster.
